Timon Merk, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Associate

I completed my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at the Berliner Hochschule für Technik Berlin, followed by a Master’s degree in Computational Neuroscience at the Technical University Berlin, followed by the PhD at Charité University Hospital Berlin, where I focused on neural decoding using invasive neural electrophysiology using deep brain stimulation. My main research interest is the neural characterization of pathological and behavioural states to develop novel closed-loop neuromodulation systems.
